Nati sul
finire degli anni '70 come rock band e col nome di "Captain kill",si gettarono
ben presto nel calderone della new way of italian metal agli inizi degli'80 con un sound
da prima figlio dei Deep purple ed in seguito inserito nel filone "Epic"con
ispirazione Maiden/Manowar e facendosi chiamare "Xipe".
La prima demo
dell'1983-84 riscuote un notevole interesse con quattro brani di agile metal sostenuto dal
solismo di Piero e la cristallina voce di Diego,ma č con la seconda tape del '85 che il
gruppo sfonda i confini dell'Italia facendosi conoscere nel mondo.
Firmano un
accordo con il management di "Fireball"e raggiungono il precontratto con la
"Discotto"di Milano per la pubblicazione del debut album"Fly to
Phoenix"contenente dieci brani,di cui due sono i lenti ed uno
strumentale.Dall'entusiasmo generale per il prestigioso traguardo al drastico scioglimento
non appena si scopre il fallimento della label di Milano e sfuma la realizzazione del
disco(il solo Albanese continuerą in seguita prima con X-Hero e poi con "l'Altro
Mondo").Gli XIPE avevano un live act entusiasmante lo ricordano tutti i fortunati che
lo hanno potuto vedere nelle varie scorribande che la band ha effettuato nell'area veneta.

The band start
on the finish ' '70 like classic rock band with the name of "Captain kill" they
threw well soon in the cauldron of the new way of italian metal to the beginnings of '80
with a sound before tribute of the Deep purple and in succession "Epic "with
Maiden/Manowar inspiration and called "Xipe."The first demo of 1983-84 receives
a big interest with four songs of classic metal supported from the solos of Pietro and the
crystalline voice from Diego, but it is with the second tape of the '85 that the group
breaks down the frontiers from Italy .They sign an accord with the management of
"Fireball "and they reach the precontract with the "Discotto "from
Milan for the publication of the debut album "Fly Phoenix "container ten songs,
the prestigious moment finish to the drastic breakup not as soon as reveals itself the
failure of the label from Milan and fall through the realization of the album (Pietro
Albanese only will continue in follows first with X-Hero and then with the" L'Altro
Mondo").the Lp comes printed in few copies from a small label after any year becoming
a rarity for all world's collectors.
